Description

A refreshing and vibrant peach lemonade made with ripe peaches and fresh lemon juice, perfectly sweetened and served chilled over ice for a cooling summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)

Syrup

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup filtered water

Additional

  • 3 cups filtered water
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Mint leaves or lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Peach Puree: In a blender, puree the sliced peaches until smooth. For a silkier texture, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve.
  2. Juice Lemons: Juice the lemons until you have about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
  3. Make Sugar Syrup: In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of water with the sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, stir together the peach puree, fresh lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of cold filtered water until well mixed.
  5. Serve: Pour the peach lemonade over ice in tall glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves or lemon slices if desired for an extra refreshing touch.

Notes

  • Adjust the sugar amount based on your preferred sweetness and the ripeness of the peaches.
  • Straining the peach puree gives a smoother texture but can be skipped for a more rustic drink.
  • Use filtered or cold water for the best taste and clarity in the lemonade.
  • Garnish options can include fresh mint, lemon slices, or even peach slices for visual appeal.
  • Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and to chill well.
