Description
A refreshing and vibrant peach lemonade made with ripe peaches and fresh lemon juice, perfectly sweetened and served chilled over ice for a cooling summer drink.
Ingredients
Scale
Fruit
- 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
Syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup filtered water
Additional
- 3 cups filtered water
- Ice cubes for serving
- Mint leaves or lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Peach Puree: In a blender, puree the sliced peaches until smooth. For a silkier texture, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve.
- Juice Lemons: Juice the lemons until you have about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
- Make Sugar Syrup: In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of water with the sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, stir together the peach puree, fresh lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of cold filtered water until well mixed.
- Serve: Pour the peach lemonade over ice in tall glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves or lemon slices if desired for an extra refreshing touch.
Notes
- Adjust the sugar amount based on your preferred sweetness and the ripeness of the peaches.
- Straining the peach puree gives a smoother texture but can be skipped for a more rustic drink.
- Use filtered or cold water for the best taste and clarity in the lemonade.
- Garnish options can include fresh mint, lemon slices, or even peach slices for visual appeal.
- Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and to chill well.
