Description

Delicious and easy Raspberry Brownies made by enhancing a boxed brownie mix with fresh raspberries and raspberry jam. These brownies are moist, fruity, and perfect for a quick dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix with required ingredients from the box
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the brownie mix box for an 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Lightly spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Prepare Brownie Batter: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box to prepare the batter, including any eggs, oil, or water required.
  3. Incorporate Raspberries: Gently fold 1 cup of fresh raspberries into the brownie batter making sure they are evenly distributed without breaking them too much.
  4. Add Raspberry Jam Swirls: Drop small dollops of the raspberry jam on top of the batter in the pan. Use the tip of a knife to swirl the jam gently through the surface of the batter for a marbled effect.
  5. Top with Raspberries: Press a few extra raspberries into the top of the batter to add texture and visual appeal.
  6. Bake Brownies: Place the pan in the oven and bake for the full cooking time recommended on the box, usually about 50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out mostly clean.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove brownies from the oven, allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen raspberries; if using frozen, do not thaw before adding to the batter to prevent excess moisture.
  • Carefully swirl the jam to avoid mixing it completely into the batter for a pretty marbled look.
  • For an extra chocolatey touch, sprinkle some chocolate chips or chopped nuts on top before baking.
  • If using a different pan size, adjust baking time accordingly to prevent under or overcooking.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
