Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for melting the chocolate safely without burning.
- Arrange pretzels: Place pretzel snaps flat on a silicone baking mat or parchment paper-lined baking sheet to prevent sticking.
- Add chocolate: Unwrap one Hershey Hugs chocolate piece and place it on top of each pretzel snap.
- Bake briefly: Bake in the preheated oven for 3 minutes or until the Hershey Hugs are shiny and soft, ready to be shaped.
- Decorate bites: Remove the pretzel bites from the oven, sprinkle black and orange sanding sugar over each while still soft, and gently press royal icing eyes onto each. If the hugs aren’t soft enough to press eyes on, return to the oven for an additional 30 seconds.
- Set in refrigerator: Transfer the decorated pretzel bites to the refrigerator and let them set for 15 minutes to harden and keep their shape.
