Description

Deliciously sweet and chewy Lucky Charms Treats made with melted marshmallows, butter, and the colorful Lucky Charms cereal. These treats are easy to prepare and perfect for a fun snack or dessert, with an optional white chocolate drizzle for extra indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter (85 g)
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 cups Lucky Charms cereal (296 g)

Optional Topping

  • 2 oz white chocolate bar, finely chopped (57 g)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Lightly grease a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) pan with butter and set aside to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt Butter: Place 6 tablespoons of salted butter in a large pot and melt over low heat until fully liquid.
  3. Add Marshmallows and Vanilla: Once butter is melted, add 10 oz of mini marshmallows and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and smooth.
  4. Incorporate Cereal: Remove the pot from heat. Add 8 cups of Lucky Charms cereal to the melted mixture and gently stir until all cereal pieces are evenly coated with marshmallow.
  5. Transfer Mixture: Immediately spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Press gently to shape but avoid packing it too tightly to keep treats light and chewy.
  6. Cool Completely: Allow the mixture to cool completely at room temperature so the treats can set properly.
  7. Add White Chocolate Drizzle (Optional): If desired, melt 2 oz of chopped white chocolate in the microwave by heating in 20-second intervals, stirring well between each until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled treats for a decorative and flavorful topping.

Notes

  • Use a spatula or buttered hands to press the mixture into the pan to prevent sticking.
  • Do not over-pack the cereal when pressing; this keeps the treats light and chewy.
  • The white chocolate drizzle is optional but adds a nice sweetness and visual appeal.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them fresh for up to 3 days.
  • You can substitute salted butter with unsalted butter and add a pinch of salt if preferred.
