Description

Golden Grahams S’Mores Bars combine the nostalgic flavor of s’mores with the crunchy goodness of Golden Grahams cereal, marshmallows, and milk chocolate chips, creating a gooey, delicious treat that’s perfect for snacks and dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Mix

  • 5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 5 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 7 cups Golden Grahams cereal
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Butter or grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to prevent sticking and set aside.
  2. Melt Ingredients: In a large saucepan, combine 5 cups of mini marshmallows, milk chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup. Melt the mixture over low heat while gently stirring with a rubber spatula until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Mix in Cereal and Marshmallows: Remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in 7 cups of Golden Grahams cereal and 1 cup of mini marshmallows. The mixture will be sticky and thick.
  4. Transfer to Pan: Spoon the sticky batter into the prepared baking pan. Flatten it evenly using the back of a spatula; lightly greasing the spatula can help prevent sticking.
  5. Let Harden: Allow the bars to set at room temperature for 1 hour until firm and ready to cut.
  6. Cut and Serve: Once hardened, cut into 16 squares and serve.

Notes

  • If you don’t have corn syrup, substitute with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon water for similar texture.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain softness; refrigeration can cause them to harden excessively.
  • Lightly greasing the spatula before flattening helps prevent sticking and makes spreading easier.
