Description

Enjoy these crunchy, sweet Cinnamon Sugar Pecans – a perfect snack or topping with a delightful blend of cinnamon and sugar coating whole pecans baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Pecan Mixture

  • 1 egg white
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups whole pecans

Coating Mixture

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with foil. Spray the foil with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Beat Egg White Mixture. Use a hand mixer to beat the egg white and water together until stiff peaks form, indicating it is light and fluffy.
  3. Add Vanilla. Mix in the vanilla extract into the beaten egg white until fully incorporated.
  4. Coat Pecans. Toss the whole pecans into the egg white mixture, stirring until each pecan is well coated.
  5. Mix Sugar and Spices. In a separate small bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt, mixing well.
  6. Combine Pecans and Sugar Mixture. Pour the sugar and spice mixture over the coated pecans, stirring thoroughly to ensure even coverage.
  7. Bake First Stage. Spread the coated pecans evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  8. Stir and Continue Baking. Stir the pecans after 15 minutes to redistribute and bake for an additional 15 minutes for even roasting and coating.
  9. Cool Pecans. Remove the pecans from the oven and spread them on aluminum foil to cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • If doubling the recipe, increase baking time by 10-15 minutes to ensure pecans are thoroughly coated and toasted.
  • Use fresh pecans for the best flavor and crunch.
  • Make sure to stir pecans halfway through baking to prevent burning and uneven coating.
  • Allow pecans to cool completely before storing to maintain crispness.
