Description

Delightfully festive Christmas Tree Cake Truffles made with Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, coated in creamy white chocolate, and decorated with colorful sprinkles and red candy drizzle. Perfect for holiday parties and gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 box of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles

Decoration

  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts for drizzling (optional)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Mixture: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl. Use a handheld mixer to mix the cakes until a crumbly dough forms. Stir in the festive sprinkles evenly.
  2. Form Truffle Balls: Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the cake mixture and roll each in the palms of your hands to form balls. Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue until all mixture is used.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl using the microwave in 30-second increments or a double boiler until smooth.
  4. Coat the Truffles: Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate using a fork or dipping tool to coat completely. Allow excess chocolate to drip off and carefully place them back on the baking sheet.
  5. Melt Red Candy Melts: Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or ziplock bag in the microwave in 30-second increments, massaging the bag between to ensure even melting.
  6. Decorate the Truffles: Snip a small edge of the bag and drizzle the melted red candy melts over the coated truffles. Sprinkle green sanding sugar on top. Place the truffles in the fridge for a few minutes to set before serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  • Keep the truffle balls chilled before dipping to help maintain their shape.
  • If you don’t have red candy melts, use red tinted white chocolate or skip the drizzle decoration.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Ensure chocolate melts are fully melted and smooth before dipping for a clean coating.
