Ingredients
Scale
Yogurt Mixture
- 1 1/2 cups chopped strawberries
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Coating
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
- Prepare Yogurt Mixture: Add the chopped strawberries, plain Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract to a large bowl and combine thoroughly until evenly mixed.
- Form Clusters: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the yogurt mixture and form clusters on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or large plate. You should be able to make 10 clusters.
- Freeze Clusters: Place the baking sheet with the yogurt clusters in the freezer and freeze until completely solid, about 2 hours.
- Melt Chocolate: Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15 to 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Coat Yogurt Clusters: Remove the frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer. Use a spoon to carefully dip each cluster into the melted chocolate, making sure they are thoroughly coated. Place coated clusters back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and optionally sprinkle with sea salt.
- Final Freeze: Place the chocolate-coated clusters back into the freezer for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and the yogurt to solidify a bit more before serving.
- Serve and Enjoy: Enjoy the frozen chocolate strawberry yogurt clusters as a refreshing, healthy dessert or snack.
Notes
- Ensure the clusters are fully frozen before dipping in chocolate to prevent melting.
- Use parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
- For a dairy-free option, substitute Greek yogurt with a plant-based yogurt.
- You can add a sprinkle of sea salt on the chocolate coating for a flavor contrast.
- If chocolate hardens too quickly while dipping, gently warm again for easier coating.
