Description

Delight in these refreshing Chocolate Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bites, a perfect blend of creamy Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, and rich dark chocolate. These bite-sized frozen treats are easy to prepare and perfect for a healthy dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Yogurt Mixture

  • 2 cups fresh diced strawberries
  • 1 cup strawberry Greek yogurt

Chocolate Coating

  • 12 ounces dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)
  • Sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Mix Yogurt and Strawberries: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries with the strawberry Greek yogurt until well blended into a creamy, fruity yogurt mixture.
  3. Form Yogurt Bites: Drop the yogurt mixture into small bites or clusters onto the lined baking sheet, spacing them out evenly. This will yield about 8 bites approximately 2 inches each.
  4. Freeze Yogurt Bites: Transfer the baking sheet with the yogurt bites to the freezer and freeze until solid, about 30 minutes.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Place the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until fully melted. Let the melted chocolate rest at room temperature for 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Dip Bites in Chocolate: Remove the frozen yogurt bites from the freezer. Using a fork, dip each bite completely into the melted chocolate, then place them back onto the baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  7. Harden Chocolate: Allow the chocolate-coated yogurt bites to sit for a few minutes at room temperature until the chocolate hardens. Enjoy immediately or store appropriately.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • An ice cream scoop helps create uniform bite sizes easily.
  • Ensure yogurt bites freeze solid before dipping in chocolate to prevent melting.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • For longer storage, freeze the bites between layers of parchment paper in a freezer-safe container for up to one month.
