Wings
- 2 pounds chicken wings cut into drumettes and wingettes
- 2 tablespoons salted butter melted
- 2 tablespoons garlic and herb seasoning
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick) melted
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Toppings and Garnish
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional garnish)
- Ranch dressing (optional side)
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and pat the chicken wings dry thoroughly with a paper towel for crispiness.
- Coat Wings with Butter: Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter and drizzle it over the dry chicken wings. Toss lightly to evenly coat each wing.
- Season Wings: In a small bowl, mix garlic and herb seasoning with sea salt, then sprinkle this mixture over the wings. Gently rub seasoning into both sides of each wing piece.
- Cook Wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook for 10 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 9 minutes until golden brown and reaching an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Work in batches if necessary.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: While wings cook, combine remaining 6 tablespoons of melted butter with minced garlic in a medium bowl.
- Toss Wings in Garlic Butter: After wings are cooked, toss them in the garlic butter mixture until well coated.
- Add Parmesan and Toast: Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese evenly over wings and return them to the air fryer for 3 minutes to lightly toast the cheese.
- Serve: Optionally drizzle extra garlic butter over wings or serve it on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve with ranch dressing if desired.
Notes
- Ensure wings are patted dry before cooking to achieve maximum crispiness.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches to allow air circulation for even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to check wings reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit internally for safety.
- Fresh garlic can be replaced with garlic powder if preferred, adjusting quantity to taste.
- Parmesan can be substituted with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
- Leftover garlic butter makes a great dipping sauce or can be drizzled over cooked wings for extra flavor.
- Ranch dressing is optional but adds a creamy complement to the savory wings.
